N1500A 8 ohms or 16 ohms or both?

Hey

Just noticed on one of my N1500As that it states "Designed to operate from 8 or 16 ohms".

Does this mean it is suitable for use on a 604-8G which has 8 ohm components, as well as the 16 ohm components on a 604E?

The early WEco speakers were 12 ohms . The Altec 605As ( circa 1963 ) were also rated 8 to 16 ohms. The DCR on the 605A and the min impedance are 12. With tube amps you have a choice. With a solid state amp you may have a 4 or 8 ohm switch to set the amp current limit. All of this is on the amp to crossover connection. The XO to driver Zs are a XO design choice, to match the XO and the woofer and HF driver.

If I understand correctly, the XO is matched for the 16 ohm components of a 604E, and if I were able to, I can choose the impedence output on the amp as 8 or 16 ohms.
